Lipizzaner Stallions Tour

The ancestry of Lipizzaners can be traced to Carthaginian and Roman horses which were ridden at the time that Julius Caesar was emperor in Rome. In 1948 some of the famous white stallions were imported to South Africa by Count Elemer Jankovich-Besan after he fled from his native country (Hungary). You are invited to experience the classical art of riding. At a Lipizzaner stallion performance you can experience the beauty, power and perfect balance Lipizzaner's are famous for, when they enact a complicated ballet, in an arena filled with music composed by Verdi, Schubert, Mozart or Handel.
