Terms of Use

Like all good companies, Jozibear has a set of terms and conditions in place to protect both the company and our passengers. Adhering to these makes for better and safer traveling.

Conditions of Conveyance

1. Tickets

1. All tickets are issues in accordance with the carriers Conditions of Conveyance.

2. Tickets are non-transferable and are only valid stipulated thereon.

3. It remains the responsibility of the owner thereof to ensure that all pertinent information is correctly recorded on the ticket.

4. Passengers are not allowed to break their journey unless separate tickets are issued with the appropriate tariff for each journey.

5. Any alterations to the ticket will render same invalid, and any changes will require the issue of a replacement ticket by the carrier or its appointed agent.

2. Cancellation

1. Cancellation should be validated only by the carrier's reservation office or its appointed agent, during office hours.

2. Cancellations made will necessitate a levy being 20% of the agreed tariff.

3. Cancellations made will necessitate a levy being 20% of the agreed tariff, if cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time of departure.

4. Cancellation made less than 5 working hours of the scheduled time of departure, will regrettably result in no refund being made.

5. An original receipt must accompany any request for a refund.

6. No cash refunds permitted - Jozibear travel vouchers only.

7. Any changes to tickets with regards to date of travel, will require a 20% adjustment fee.

3. Departure time

1. Passengers are requested to be at the departure point 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

2. Any seat not occupied 5 minutes prior to the scheduled time of departure will be offered to stand-by passengers on a first come first served basis at the appropriate rate.

4. Passenger luggage

1. Each fare paying passenger is allowed to take, free of charge, at own risk, personal luggage not exceeding 20kg in mass or
80cm x 60cm x 30cm as volumetric equivalent.

2. The carrier reserves the right to refuse carriage of luggage which does not comply with these parameters.

3. Large items must be carried in the luggage container/trailer and must be loaded by the carrier agent.

4. Passengers are not allowed to load/offload luggage by themselves.

5. Unaccompanied luggage will not be permitted.

6. The carrier will not accept any liability for loss or damage to passengers' luggage and personal effects.

7. The carrier does not provide general insurance cover. Therefore, all passengers are to ensure that they are adequately insured.

5. General

1. Smoking is not permitted on any of the busses.

2. Consumption of alcohol or any other illegal substance will not be permitted.

3. No animals/pets will be conveyed.

4. Unaccompanied children under the age of 12 will not be conveyed unless parents/guardians provide an indemnity.

5. The carrier will endeavour to abide by the published time schedule, but these times may be affected by road, traffic, weather and other conditions beyond the control of the carrier. Therefore, the carrier will not accept liability for any cost incurred due to the failure to keep the aforementioned schedule.

6. The carrier also reserves the right undertake to convey or continue to convey any passenger(s).

7. The carrier also reserves the right to revise seat allocation without notice and to operate substitute vehicles or different standards to ensure that services are continued.

8. Passengers are not permitted to travel on the vehicle between depots and terminal points.

9. All tariffs and schedules are subject to change without prior notice.
